Larkana Farmhouse is a retreat from the frenetic urban life of Karachi, into the tranquil fields of Larkana, Sindh.
It is designed as a series of volumes held together by planar elements - red brick walls rise above the volumes, establishing their presence. The windows are designed to keep the interior cool by shading the glass from the harsh Larkana sun, and angled to direct one's vision towards the garden.
The material palette comprises of the local red brick contrasted with glass, aluminium, and concrete, creating a modern aesthetic while still being firmly rooted in the site context.
